DO YOU NEED ANY BOXING EXPERIENCE TO SIGN UP FOR THE PACKAGE ?
No. And sometimes that’s a good thing. As you are starting from the beginning, and can concentrate solely on new skills etc.
IS THERE CONTACT ?
The only contact will be gloves to pads, with occasional light tapping on the arms and shoulders.
WHAT DO THE 5 SESSIONS INVOLVE ?
- Mobility and Dynamic Warmups
- Footwork skills
- Technical Drills for the 4 basic punches : Jab, Cross (Reverse Punch), Hook and Uppercut
- Performing different combinations of the above, with other elements of strikes, defence and boxing movement.
- Additional resistance exercises in HIIT circuit form for upper / lower body and core as the sessions progress.
- Stretch and Warm Down Exercises
IS EQUIPMENT PROVIDED ?
Yes, all boxing pads, boxing gloves and other relevant boxing equipment is provided. Although you are welcome to purchase or bring your own boxing gloves if you wish.
Also, investing in a pair of wrist supports or boxing wraps is highly advisable. (see below)
